Join us for Narrative 4's first Northeast Regional Summit.

Get to know Narrative 4 and network with local educators, artists, and community leaders.

With a kick-off performance by Hartford's Proud Drill Drum and Dance Corp.

Stay for the whole day or drop in when you can!

This event is free and open to the public.

RSVPs are appreciated and encouraged.

Note: Our day of outreach at the CT Convention Center will end at 5:30pm. We hope you will join us afterwards for our Night of Literature at Trinity College! Doors open at 7pm and we will start promptly at 7:30pm.

Community Story Exchange
Location: Connecticut Convention Center
Who is Narrative 4? Learn more about who we are and what we do, experience the story exchange, and find out how to bring N4 to your school or community organization.


3:30-4:30pm
Around the World
Location: Connecticut Convention Center
Peruse our informational booths, speak to students, educators, authors, school administrators, and community leaders, and learn how they use N4’s methodology to innovate in the field. Or step into a Shared_Studios portal and make a new friend on the other side of the world.


4:30-5:30pm
Narrative, Empathy, Change: A Panel Discussion
Location: Connecticut Convention Center
Join author and N4 Co-Founder Colum McCann in conversation with N4 students and educators about the power of storytelling to effect tangible community improvement.


7:00pm – 9:00pm
A Night of Literature
Location: Trinity College, Maher Hall, Washington Room
End the day with some literary greats. Enjoy readings by master storytellers including Colum McCann, Hartford Poet Laureate Frederick-Douglass Knowles II, Deacon Art Miller, and more to be announced!
Doors open at 7:00pm, reading begins at 7:30pm

​​​CT Convention Center Parking

  • There is a parking garage at the CT Convention Center (100 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, CT 06103). Once you arrive please follow the signs. It is a paid lot but you will be able to receive a discount when you check in with us! Here is their website for further information: https://www.ctconventions.com/visitors/parking/

Trinity College Parking

  • Trinity College (300 Summit St, Hartford, CT 06106) does not have any parking garages but there is parking available on Summit Street or in any of the lots on Summit Street. You can ignore the signs saying only registered vehicles can park there. Further directions can be found here: https://www.trincoll.edu/admissions/visit-trinity/travel-to-campus/ We will be in the Washington Room in Mather Hall.
